I started noticing my husband visiting his mother suspiciously often. At first, I didn\u2019t think much of it, but one day I decided to follow him\u2014and what I discovered shook me to the core.<\/p>\n

On the outside, we seemed like the perfect couple, but over the past six months, he had begun going to his mother\u2019s almost every day. She lived alone in a nearby town, and he claimed he was helping her with housework.<\/p>\n

Curious and uneasy, I followed him one Saturday. What I saw through the window made my heart stop: a young woman holding a baby stood next to my husband. My mother-in-law, who had never accepted me, had been persuading him to leave me and marry the neighbor\u2019s daughter\u2014and he had.
